A History of Caring
As of September 1, 2007, Sandy Bay Child & Family Services has the legal mandate to provide child and family services, as outlined in the Child and Family Services Act, to all individuals residing in the community of Sandy Bay First Nation. The mandate also allows Sandy Bay Child & Family Services to advocate on this same basis for families and children of Sandy Bay First Nation members residing off reserve.
The agency is mandated and under the authority of the Southern First Nations Network of Care.
